Now in Turrialba
It's been quite difficult to sit down for a long moment to take in the situation in its entirety.
I left my job on Friday; I flew to San José on Saturday; Drove down to Turrialba on Sunday and have spent two nights on a farm in the middle of gorgeous rural scenery with cows who seem mock you with their moos.
I will be spending the next two weeks in effect preparing and 'training' for the arrival of 64 Raleigh 'venturers' as well as bonding with the twenty three or so over 25s who are the project managers, medics and field base staff for this expedition.
It's been a bit difficult to explain to people who have no concept of Raleigh what exactly I will be doing and why exactly I'm going; including my own family, however it can largely be summed up in wanting to experience something else.
